The Cheeseburger Cake!! Well, there wasn't actually ONE winner. They had a top 3. I was in the top 3. But, who can deny the cuteness that is this cake? Just kidding. I think it turned out really cute. The shake, onion rings and fry sauce top off the cake. Yum.
This is the one that I made for Ross' birthday a few weeks ago. I tweeked a few things for last night, but I think that both of them are cute!!

So, all of my boys birthdays are coming up in April and I do not do cakes, so you are definitely hired. This blog is such a cute idea! Maybe my inner Betty Crocker will become inspired and I won't hire anyone to do it for me.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that cake Emily--how did you make the onion rings and the shake?
ReplyDeleteTo make the onion rings, I just made a really thin cake in a sheet cake pan and used a donut cutter, then I froze them so they would be a bit more stiff. For the shake, I just filled most of the cup with the cake remnants and for the ice cream, I mixed vanilla and chocolate frosting and piped it into the cup, sprinkled it with chocolate chips and nuts and stuck a spoon in there. I was surprised at how realistic it turned out!
ReplyDeleteWow, your cake looks awesome! Very impressive. I wish I was could've been there to see it for real. It was a crazy night and I was exhausted and got home late.
ReplyDeleteDid you take pics of the other two winners?
ReplyDeleteholy cow! this is so impressive and real looking! I love it!
