Cake Ideas. Please....
Okay, here's the plan. My son turns 2 next Sunday. I have been planning to make him a "train" cake. I've been having ideas swirl around in my head for about a month. I've watched you tube video and looked at pictures. Still not certain of my exact approach. Have any of you ever made a train cake or seen one made? I have a really cute idea in my head, I am just a little unsure of the execution. Any ideas or pics??? Anything would be helpful.

When Trey turned 1, I made him a baseball mitt cake, with baseball cupcakes. The mitt was just a round cake with spaces cut out between the fingers, and licorice string for the leather ties. The cupcakes were just frosted white with red gel for the stitching. When it was time to eat it, we gave him a baseball to destroy instead of the entire cake. I will try and find pictures (pre-digital).
ReplyDeleteregister on www.cakecentral.com and look in their gallery--you can do a search on anything and there will be a ton of cakes to look at--this is where I get 90% of my ideas.
