Bulkhead Transformer Cake

Wow. This cake is so cool. Any little boy would L-O-V-E this one!!! This is Bulkhead from Transformers. Melinda used fondant and gumpaste to cover and make this amazing cake. What a lucky guy!!

  1. Do you know what kind of pan she used to get bulkhead to be that shape? My friend's son wants bulkhead, but I am not certain what pan I could use to make him so tall.

  2. Tara- Here is what my cousin had to say.....

I'm glad she liked it--unfortunately there isn't much to tell. I baked a half sheet cake and then stacked it--3 or 4 layers I think, until I got it tall enough. We carved it in the front so it narrowed and then I covered it with green marshmallow fondant (I used black and brown with green gel food coloring to give it the more army green color) Then we just printed out a picture of the transformer and Matt drew in the lines in the fondant with a knife and we decorated with the other fondant colors. Really this cake was mainly Matt with the lines--otherwise it wouldn't have looked nearly as good. The wheels are halved oreos...I think that is it--let me know if she has more questions :)
